Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of outdoor spaces and do our part in turning houses into homes. This role involves working on various landscaping projects, assisting with site preparation, planting, and installation of sod, trees/shrubs, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This position offers an opportunity to develop hands-on skills in landscape maintenance and construction.
Duties
- Assist with excavation tasks using equipment such as Skid steers and hand tools to prepare sites for planting or construction.
- Installation of sod, Trees, and shrubbery.
- Conduct gardening activities including planting, pruning, mowing, watering, and mulching to maintain healthy and attractive outdoor areas
- Support landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, weeding, fertilizing, and debris removal.
- Operate power tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping projects
- Assist with construction-related activities including setting up, installing features, and performing minor repairs
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and work sites to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times during physical work and equipment operation.
- Prior experience with landscape maintenance/ earthworks or grading preferred ; training will be provided for specific equipment use
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, irrigation systems, and plant care is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems related to landscaping projects is advantageous
- Construction experience or background in groundskeeping can be beneficial for understanding site preparation and installation tasks
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward maintaining high standards in landscape work an asset.
- Ideally seeking a highly motivated an hard working individual.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
