We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort during visits. This position requires a professional who is passionate about patient education and preventive care, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and in a timely manner.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, providing support as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cleardent software, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented.
- Collaborate with the dental team to create treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any patient concerns or questions with empathy and professionalism.
Experience
- A valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in BC is required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in using Cleardent being a plus. New grads are welcome as well.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this enhances communication with diverse patient populations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective patient interactions and record management.
- Be a great communicator and be able to express yourself clearly and positively, both verbally and in writing.
