Duties
- Assist experienced carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools
- Support the installation of drywall, cabinetry, flooring, siding, roofing, and tile laying projects
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for efficient workflow
- Help with concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry tasks to support foundational work
- Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across job sites
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste properly
Requirements
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics
- Prior construction or woodworking experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions precisely
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
- Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation is a plus but not mandatory
