1. Overview
Montreal Language Institute (MLI) is a Canadian language school with campuses in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. We provide French language training and educational services to both domestic and international students.
We are currently seeking a Campus Operations Assistant to support the daily operations of our Vancouver campus. This role combines student services, academic support, campus administration, and social media coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced educational environment.
2. Responsibilities
Student Services & Academic Support
- Monitor student attendance and classroom participation;
- Assist students with learning platforms, course access, and basic technical issues;
- Support daily academic administration and student record management;
- Respond to student inquiries and help resolve day-to-day concerns;
- Assist teachers and academic staff in maintaining smooth classroom operations;
- Handle unexpected situations during classes and provide timely support when needed.
Social Media & Marketing Support
- Assist with daily operations of Xiaohongshu (RED) and other social media platforms;
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from prospective students;
- Coordinate communication between prospective students and the sales team;
- Support content posting, community engagement, and basic account management activities;
- Assist with marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives when required.
Campus Operations & Administrative Support
- Support the daily operation and organization of the Vancouver campus;
- Coordinate classroom schedules, materials, and campus resources;
- Assist with campus events, student activities, and administrative projects;
- Maintain a welcoming and professional environment for students and visitors;
- Handle miscellaneous operational and administrative tasks as assigned.
3. Skills & Experience
- Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese; French is considered a strong asset;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and common office software;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities;
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and dependable;
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally;
- Previous experience in education, training institutions, student services, customer service, administration, marketing, or social media operations is preferred;
- Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Vancouver Area.
Pay: $3,000.00-$3,500.00 per month
