Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will assist in various concrete-related tasks, supporting the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and familiarity with construction tools and techniques. The Concrete Labourer will work under the supervision of experienced tradespeople to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on-site.
Duties
- Assist with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing to create durable structures.
- Operate hand tools and power tools for tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing rebar and formwork.
- Support rebar installation, ensuring reinforcement is correctly positioned according to schematics and blueprints.
- Perform masonry work including caulking, restoration, and renovation tasks as needed.
- Use carpentry skills for framing and constructing forms or other structural components.
- Handle heavy equipment operation when required, following safety protocols.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to accurately execute project specifications.
- Conduct concrete finishing to achieve smooth surfaces and proper texture.
- Assist with flooring installation and other related renovation activities.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials efficiently.
- Support heavy lifting activities safely using proper techniques.
Experience
- Prior construction experience is preferred, especially in concrete work or related trades such as masonry or carpentry.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, rebar installation, and finishing techniques is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, welding, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and the use of hand tools and power tools is a plus.
- Experience with restoration or renovation projects will be considered an asset.
- Candidates should demonstrate mechanical knowledge relevant to construction tasks and possess the ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
