Responsibilities:
- Report to the Director of Front Office
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of the property’s features and events
- Check in and check out guests according to the property standards and procedures
- Assign rooms, take reservations and escort guests to the rooms
- Provide all necessary information to the guests and be knowledgeable of the most frequently asked questions
- Arrange services asked for by guests and follow through with bookings and all related communication
- Store and retrieve luggage, assist with Valet Parking as necessary
- Exchange foreign currency and be responsible for cash float
- Forward any information for guests via fax, mail, courier etc.
- Communicate services and amenities to all guests
- Assist with Switchboard or Reservation Department duties as required
- Complete Night Auditor duties when required
- Other duties as assigned
- Pay: $22 - $23.91 per hour range
Qualifications:
- Previous Front Office / Hotel experience a strong asset
- Excellent command of the English language, secondary language an asset
- Must enjoy team work in an environment with competing priorities
- Work very well under set timelines without compromising work results
- Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the entire week, including overnight shifts, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Software
- Must like interaction with people and possess the passion to deliver service
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
