We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CPA or Senior Accounting Professional to provide part-time support to our in-house Bookkeeper and management team. This role is ideal for someone with 10+ years of accounting experience who is looking for flexible, occasional work with the potential for increased hours during peak seasons and year-end periods.This position will focus on higher-level accounting support, oversight, reconciliations, payroll assistance, accounts receivable/payable support, and year-end preparation within a fast-paced landscaping, pool, and construction environment.The successful candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting an existing bookkeeping team.
Schedule & Hours
- Part-time flexible position
- Approximately 8–15 hours per week on average
- Additional hours may be required during:
- Month-end
- Year-end
- Peak construction season
- Payroll or reporting periods
- Flexible scheduling available

Responsibilities
- Support the in-house Bookkeeper with daily and monthly accounting functions
- Review and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Monitor aging reports and assist with collections follow-up
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Assist with payroll processing, remittances, deductions, and compliance
- Support month-end and year-end financial preparation
- Prepare and review financial reports, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
- Ensure accounting records are accurate and compliant with company policies and regulations
- Provide guidance and accounting support to management as needed
- Assist with process improvements and financial organization
- Collaborate with external accountants during year-end and tax preparation
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred
- Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Experience with payroll processing and payroll compliance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in construction, landscaping, trades, or seasonal service industries is considered a strong asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
