THE ROLE
Hosts are the first and last point of contact for our restaurant guests, creating memorable experiences through genuine warmth, thoughtful communication and confident, organized service. This role requires polished guest interaction, accurate reservation management and calm coordination during high-volume service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome every guest with genuine warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism while anticipating opportunities to personalize their experience.
- Manage reservations, waitlists and table assignments accurately and efficiently using SevenRooms or a similar reservation platform.
- Record guest preferences, special occasions, allergies and reservation details with care and attention to detail.
- Answer telephone and online inquiries with warmth, clarity and professionalism.
- Coordinate seating with restaurant managers, servers, bartenders and culinary teams while maintaining an accurate understanding of table availability and anticipated dining times.
- Communicate reservation changes, delays and special requests promptly and tactfully.
- Provide accurate information about menus, restaurant hours, resort amenities and special events while maintaining a polished, organized and welcoming host area.
- Represent Pheasant Glen, Dutton Chop House and Coyote Bill’s with integrity, pride and genuine hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous hosting, restaurant or guest-service experience.
- Experience using SevenRooms, OpenTable or a comparable reservation platform.
- Strong telephone, written and in-person communication skills.
- Experience in an upscale restaurant, resort or high-volume hospitality environment.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Fun, outgoing and engaging, with a thoughtful, emotionally intelligent and solutions-focused approach.
- Reliable, accountable and team-first, with availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays; Serving It Right is considered an asset.
