Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse and Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse logistics, commercial driving, and excellent customer service skills. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload products using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual handling techniques
- Assist with warehouse organization, inventory management, and stock replenishment
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation and maintain records of deliveries made
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Handle heavy lifting of goods, sometimes exceeding standard weight limits, with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse area to promote a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations and logistics management
- Ability to operate forklifts safely an asset
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Experience with commercial driving, including valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type used
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and moving items efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
- Vulnerable Sector Check will be required for this position
- must be bilingual ( speak French & English )
