Job Summary
The Project Coordinator & Junior Landscape Estimator will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our projects by working closely with project managers, clients, and field teams. This individual will assist in managing the administrative and logistical aspects of projects while contributing to the estimating process to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Junior Landscape Estimation: Assist in performing quantity take-offs and cost analyses for labor, materials, and equipment to help prepare competitive project bids.
- GPS Surface Creation: Create and manage digital surfaces and 3D models specifically for use with our Trimble GPS machine control system.
- Project Documentation: Prepare, organize, and manage project documents, including contracts, locates, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
- Scheduling Support: Assist with project scheduling, tracking deadlines, and updating timelines in collaboration with project managers.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Procurement: Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
- Budget Management: Track project budgets and expenses, flagging discrepancies and assisting in cost control measures.
- Quality Control: Support quality assurance by maintaining project standards and ensuring compliance with design specifications and company policies.
- Site Coordination: Monitor on-site activities as needed, assisting project managers with daily operations and resolving minor issues promptly.
- Reporting: Generate and distribute regular project status updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or degree in construction management, landscape design, project management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the landscaping industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., ContractComplete, Procore, MS Project).
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- GPS Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to build digital 3D surfaces compatible with machine control and GPS technology.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
