Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated DZ Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver products to various destinations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and customer service. As a vital link in our supply chain, the DZ Delivery Driver ensures timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and operational safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any issues promptly.
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently, ensuring timely arrival at designated locations.
- Handle freight with care, ensuring proper handling of heavy equipment and fragile items.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve issues.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle operability.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts to load or unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or damage during transportation.
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
