General Supervisor Job Description
Responsibilities:
Must be familiar with carpentry, drywall,taping and painting and demolition. We're looking for someone who is capable of all the following. A handyman with commercial / residential experience.
Must be able to frame with metal and wood
some drywall and taping
general labourer
demolition
- Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
- Estimate construction costs and manage project budgets
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors and other personnel involved in the project
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
-Sets up new jobs and schedules trades. Deal with clients on a daily basis, must do demolition, and job site clean up. Co ordinate and schedule trades. Report to owner.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in construction management or a related field
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must speak english fluently
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field is preferred
