Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a dump truck, water tanker, and floating equipment safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, equipment care, and punctuality.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ-class vehicles including dump trucks and water tankers
- Float heavy equipment as required
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with Ontario regulations
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation (Hours of Service, inspection reports, etc.)
- Adhere to all MTO, CVOR, and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation
- Wages based on experience
Requirements (Ontario – Mandatory)
- Valid Ontario AZ Driver’s Licence with Z (Air Brake) endorsement
- Minimum 3 years AZ driving experience (preferred)
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (no major violations)
- Clean CVOR Abstract
- Valid Ontario truck driver medical
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Hours of Service regulations
- Experience operating dump trucks and floating equipment
- Ability to work full-time, in person
- Reliable transportation to job location
Additional Information
- French not required
- Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Kanata, ON K2K 1X7 before starting work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00-$37.00 per hour
