Position Summary
The Food Runner is an entry-level hospitality position and an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing a career in food and beverage service.
Working alongside experienced servers, bartenders, and supervisors, you will support a variety of service styles including a la carte dining, fine dining, banquets, wine dinners, member events, and private functions. This role offers valuable exposure to private club hospitality and provides a pathway into future service positions.
Success in this role requires energy, professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to create exceptional experiences for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver food to member and guest tables in a professional and timely manner.
- Support service in dining rooms, lounges, banquets, private functions, and Club events.
- Assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, resetting, water service, and guest support.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas.
- Assist with event setup and teardown.
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and culinary teams.
- Support members and guests with a warm, professional, and hospitable attitude.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
- Interest in fine dining, hospitality, or private club service.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to remain on your feet and active for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to think quickly, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
