Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves operating heavy machinery and supporting various construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience with heavy equipment, mechanical knowledge, and a strong work ethic to contribute to safe and efficient project completion.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, and skidsteers with precision and safety.
- Perform equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operation.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, and other construction tasks as needed.
- Support the movement of materials and supplies around the construction site using appropriate machinery.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as graders, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and skidsteers.
- Knowledge of farming (Haying) to be included on both ends of our business
- Previous experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues is a plus.
This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring technical skill and physical endurance in a dynamic construction environment.
Position is posted for casual, but the right candidate will get full time or better hours during busy seasons, with room to stay part-full time over slower season,
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
