Job Summary
AH Underground Solutions Inc. is seeking experienced Water & Sewer Construction Professionals who are looking to advance their careers into leadership roles. We are looking for motivated individuals with underground utility experience and the potential to lead crews, mentor team members, and contribute to successful project delivery.
This position is ideal for candidates with experience as a Pipe Layer, Lead Hand, or Foreman who are ready to take on greater responsibility in a fast-paced and safety-focused environment.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, or underground utility construction.
- Strong understanding of safe excavation practices and underground installations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to coordinate crews and communicate effectively.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to mentor others.
- Ability to read plans, interpret grades, and solve problems in the field.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining a safe work environment.
Roles & Responsibilities May Include
Depending on experience and qualifications, successful candidates may be responsible for:
- Leading or assisting underground utility installation crews.
- Planning and coordinating daily work activities.
- Installing water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure according to project specifications.
- Ensuring proper line, grade, and elevation during installation.
- Directing equipment operators and ground personnel safely and efficiently.
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Monitoring quality control and ensuring work meets municipal and project standards.
- Promoting and enforcing company health and safety policies.
- Training and mentoring less experienced crew members.
- Coordinating with supervisors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
- Identifying and resolving field issues to maintain productivity.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, organized worksite.
- Supporting project scheduling and helping crews meet production targets.
