Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Home Support Worker to provide full‑time care and assistance to an individual in a private household. The role requires professionalism, compassion, and the ability to work independently in a rural home environment.
Language: English
Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of related experience
Work Setting
- Employer’s private home
- Rural location
- Remote community
- Work must be completed on site
- On‑site accommodation and meals are provided at no cost as a condition of employment. Wages are paid in full and are not reduced or offset for room and board.
Responsibilities
- Administer bedside and personal care
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by the client or family
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Support regular exercise such as walking
- Feed or assist with feeding
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and menus
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Provide personal care and daily living assistance
- Shop for food and household supplies
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals
- Cook meals according to dietary needs
Transportation / Travel Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence required due to rural location and need to assist with errands and appointments.
- Rural location; transportation may be necessary for errands and appointments
