Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Cook to join our culinary team for various events and functions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and providing excellent food service in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to event menus and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests during events
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Collaborate with event staff to coordinate meal service timing and presentation
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for each event
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines throughout the food preparation process
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within restaurants or the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable for this role
Pay: $21.50-$27.00 per hour
