Magnes Heating & Cooling Inc. is looking for a reliable and motivated HVAC Helper to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the HVAC industry. No previous HVAC experience is required—we provide on-the-job training and support.
The HVAC Helper will work alongside experienced technicians to assist with heat pump and HVAC installations, maintenance, repairs, and general job-site tasks. The ideal candidate is hardworking, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in residential and commercial environments.
Previous experience in construction, general labour, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work is an asset but not required.
Duties
- Assist HVAC technicians with heat pump installations and servicing
- Carry tools and equipment
- Help with installation, maintenance, and repairs
- Assist with ductwork, piping, electrical preparation, and equipment setup
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Load/unload equipment and materials
- Follow workplace safety procedures
- Learn HVAC installation and service skills on the job
Requirements
- No previous HVAC experience required — training provided
- Willingness to travel and work outside the local area for 4–5 days at a time when required.
- Accommodation and meals/food expenses will be fully covered by the company during out-of-town work.
- Reliable, hardworking, and punctual.
- Willing to learn HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in different weather conditions.
- Able to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials.
- Previous construction, general labour, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC experience is an asset but not required.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team and follow safety procedures.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
