The Difference Only You Can Make…
In this role, you’ll be actively involved in daily construction activities, supporting the Construction Supervisor to keep projects on track and running smoothly. You’ll assist with site readiness, perform minor construction tasks, and help maintain quality standards throughout each phase of the build. Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment will be a consistent priority. By working closely with team members and trade partners, you’ll help resolve challenges and keep projects moving efficiently.
What your day may look like…
- Assist the Construction Supervisor in maintaining project schedules and supporting quality control throughout the homebuilding process.
- Coordinate with trade partners to ensure they have the resources and support needed to complete work efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of construction sites, both interior and exterior, at all stages of the build.
- Ensure all construction sites remain safe and compliant with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Support the construction process by completing minor tasks, including framing, rough-ins, drywall work, and paint touch-ups.
- Collaborate with team members, including other Construction Assistants and Warranty Supervisors, to provide support as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Construction Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Cross-train within the team to provide backup support and coverage during absences or peak periods.
What you’ll bring…
- Previous experience in residential construction is considered an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated basic handyman skills with proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract required.
- Strong attention to detail and keen observational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative team player who is willing to support various tasks and contribute where needed.
