This position requires travel across Western Canada, sometimes being away for 24 days straight working 7 days per week and 12 hours per day overnight. When in town, you are working Monday to Friday .
Herc Rentals is currently looking for a Warehouse/Tool Crib Attendant. You will be responsible for pulling and receiving orders, doing repetitive and physical work. There will also be times that we will need you to work out of town as a Tool Crib Associate where you will aid tradespeople by supplying them with appropriate tooling in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory management
- Clean, maintain and organize heavy equipment, construction equipment, tools, and various pieces of machinery
- Review special orders from management
- Read invoices and shipping statements, and file them properly
- Deliver/pick-up of parts and equipment from various locations
- Assist in the loading/unloading of rental equipment
- Maintain work area and yard area in an organized manner
- Assist with service and maintenance record keeping
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds
- Exceptional customer service skill
- Must be a team player
- Ability to adjust to demands of the job
- A solid understanding of a functioning shop and tooling used daily
- Reliable and accountable
- Superior communication skills
Conditions of employment:
- Must have valid class 5 driver’s license.
- A recent driver’s abstract will be required
- All employment is contingent on successful completion of drug and background screening.
- Ability to travel when called upon 50% of the year
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am when out on site
- Ability to work out of town for up to 24 consecutive days (no weekend travel home during this period).
- Must be clean shaven in order to get onto job sites
- Tool Crib Experience considered an asset
Compensation:
- $24/hr in town
- $27/hr out of town.
