Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our 40+ years established, privately owned dental practice team. This role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of office operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience with dental or medical office procedures is highly preferred. Duties
- Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Manage patient records using AbelDent and Carestream
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and office activities
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure timely delivery of services
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence professionally
- Assist in administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry as needed
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Abeldent and Carestream is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology enhances communication with clinical staff and patients
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and multitasking ability is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate attitude towards patients are essential
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
