310T Mechanic
John Eek & Son Ltd. is a family-owned company serving Simcoe County since 1953. We take pride in providing quality aggregate, concrete, haulage, excavating, and snow removal services while maintaining a safe and professional work environment. We are currently looking for a motivated 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform safety inspections, preventative maintenance (PM), and routine servicing on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair air, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems.
- Complete Parts Request Forms for required repairs.
- Accurately complete service records and maintenance documentation.
- Perform off-site repairs when equipment breakdowns occur.
- Communicate with the Shop Manager regarding equipment status, repair progress, and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with additional shop duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician License .
- Previous experience working on heavy trucks and equipment is an asset.
- Hydraulic, electrical, and heavy equipment experience is considered an asset; training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Must provide your own mechanic's tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends when required.
