Casa Montessori Teacher

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Casa Montessori Teacher to lead a class of 2.5 to 6 year olds at a high end bilingual Montessori school. This role is ideal for a confident Montessori guide who is grounded in Montessori philosophy, skilled in classroom leadership, working with young children, and committed to fostering independence, concentration, and joy in learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a complete, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Casa environment
- Deliver high-quality Montessori presentations in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress in alignment with Montessori principles
- Foster a calm, respectful classroom culture that supports independence, grace, and social development
- Collaborate closely with classroom assistants and mentor them in Montessori best practices
- Communicate professionally and regularly with families regarding children’s development
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Maintain compliance with licensing and health & safety requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of lead Casa (2.5–6) Montessori teaching experience
- Montessori diploma for the Casa level (AMI, Montessori Canada, or MACTE-accredited program)
- Strong classroom management and leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligible to work in Canada
- French language skills an asset
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience
