Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport equipment throughout Manitoba
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload equipment and materials using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours and maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to coordinate deliveries
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to keep trucks in optimal condition
Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and other loading machinery
- Knowledge of safe handling procedures and safety regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Strong understanding of road safety laws and compliance standards
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with customers and team members
- Physical ability to load, unload, and handle materials and equipment efficiently
