Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our new restaurant. In this role, you will be providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Basic bartending skills and expert customer service is key to the role!
Your responsibilities will include making drinks, managing customer interactions, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.
Some supervisor/managing experience is required.
We are looking for Monday- Wednesday and Saturdays to start, with the ability to grow from 30ish hours a week to closer to 40hours
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide them with menu information and recommendations.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling practices.
- Make alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining spaces and service counters.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations while preparing and serving food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience.
- Assist in training new team members on front-of-house procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years previous experience managing in the restaurant industry is required
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic bartending experience is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
