We are currently hiring experienced Plate Roll Operators to work with our client a premiere supplier of carbon steel parts-to-print.
Location: Brampton – Orenda and West Drive
*Own Transportation an asset*
Currently hiring for the following shift:
Afternoon Shift: Monday through Friday 3:00PM-11:00PM – MUST BE ABLE TO TRAIN ON DAYS 7AM-3PM – 3-8 WEEKS
Pay Rate $22.00 per hour
Plate Roll Operator:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete work according to Rolling schedule or as instructed by Supervisor.
- Process parts according to instructions listed on Rolling work order/drawings.
- Setup, operate, and troubleshoot hydraulic plate rolling machine.
- Perform material handling activities manually and using overhead crane.
- Perform required equipment, safety, and quality inspections.
- Generate NCR (non-conformance report) for parts that are not to standard.
- Complete necessary paperwork when required.
- Demonstrate safe work habits at all times.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report maintenance issues as needed.
- Maintain an organized work area.
EXPERINCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Overhead crane operator (Level 2).
- Perform intermediate math.
- Knowledge of measurement systems.
- Speak, read, write, and understand English at a conversational level.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings.
- Understanding of carbon steel grades and characteristics.
- Ability to use basic/precision measuring tools and hand/power tools.
- Computer literate.
- Clean Criminal Background check
- Professional Reference
-Overhead Crane License - (In house or external accepted)
