We are hiring a Baker to work 5 8-hour shifts per week on a full-time permanent basis. Likely schedule is Thursday-Monday, 1-9pm. Must be eligible to work 40 hours per week long-term.

Rodrigues Wholesale Donuts Inc. is a rapidly growing Cambridge-based wholesale bakery, delivering donuts and muffins to customers across southwestern Ontario. This is a fast-paced, high-capacity operation, producing 4000-5000 donuts each night from approximately 1:00-10:00pm. We are committed to delivering consistent quality at high volume.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares dough, glazes, fondants, and fillings
- Measures and weighs dough mixes using scales and recipes
- Produces consistently high-quality donuts using both manual and automated processes according to specific instructions and timing
- Follows production sheets to meet all orders without unnecessary overage or spoilage
- Decorates donuts to create an attractive and high-quality finished product
- Maintains cleanliness and hygiene according to Public Health best practices and bakery procedures
- Maintains adequate supply of all prepared products on hand and ensures proper storage and refrigeration
Requirements:
- Professional baking experience (at least 1 year) preferably at a high-volume facility
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds (22.7kg) safely
- Ability to complete an 8-hour shift on your feet
- Strong oral English communication skills
- Attention to detail, particularly in measurements and quantities, despite interruptions
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Teamwork
- Driven and motivated to learn and improve every day
- Knowledge of 4, 6, and 12 times tables
Training on specific equipment and processes will be provided. Those without professional baking experience should not apply.
Hours of work will vary, but will generally occur between 1:00-9:00pm. We are open 7 days a week. Hourly rate or salary determined based on experience.
We are seeking someone to become a long-time skilled employee. Our current baker has been with the operation over a decade and is eager to teach and train the right candidate.
