Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and deticated Siding and Roofing Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining siding and roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work safely at heights. The position offers opportunities for hands-on experience in the building trades, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut siding and roofing materials accurately according to project specifications
- Install various siding products, shingles, metal roofing, and other related materials following safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and nail guns to complete installations
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate efficient installation processes
- Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring adherence to safety and building codes
- Assist in the preparation of job sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, or other necessary tasks
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools used in siding and roofing installation
- Strong background in construction or carpentry with hands-on experience in exterior building projects
- Knowledge of blueprint reading for accurate material measurement and placement
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds or more)
- Handyman experience is a plus, demonstrating versatility across various repair tasks
- Good physical stamina for working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
Experience:
- siding/roofing: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
