Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Driller to join our construction and heavy equipment operation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment and supporting various construction projects, ensuring efficient and precise drilling operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, and Caterpillar equipment. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in construction-related heavy equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate drilling rigs with precision to meet project specifications and safety standards
- Utilize heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery
- Support excavation, grading, paving, and other construction activities using appropriate machinery
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drilling operations efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment on-site
- Assist in setting up work zones and preparing sites for drilling activities
- Maintain detailed records of drilling operations and equipment usage
Skills
- Must have experience with Sandvik Drill
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, and paving machinery
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and equipment
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles for site transportation as needed
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and protocols
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members
