Rare opportunity to join a happy, friendly, noncorporate office. We are looking for a kind person with excellent "people skills". Some experience is preferred. Knowledge of Tracker software is preferred but not necessary.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Tracker dental software.
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, provide appointment information, and direct calls efficiently
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical histories accurately for record keeping
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMRs) with attention to detail, ensuring all patient data is current and confidential
- Handle billing processes, including processing payments and submitting insurance claims with clarity and accuracy
- Support the dental team by coordinating communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental office environment
- Strong knowledge of dental office procedures, medical terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy front desk setting
- Proficiency in using multi-line phone systems and office equipment
- Prior experience working with dental practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality
- Pay range is at Ottawa average norms based on years of experience.
- Hours: Wednesdays 7:30am-4pm, Thursdays 8am-4pm, Friday 7:30am-3pm.
