We are seeking a dependable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver based in Toronto area to join our team. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes across multiple states, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently while maintaining scheduled delivery times
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and security of cargo
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle functionality
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and freight documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delays, or issues during transit
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes within AZ and across state lines
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for heavy equipment operation
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely when loading or unloading cargo
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues during trips
- Strong organizational skills for managing logs, schedules, and freight documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for freight hauling in Canada and united states
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
This role is vital for ensuring the reliable delivery of goods across long distances while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
