Job Title: Millwright – Food Manufacturing Maintenance Company
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Shift: Weekend work with possibilities of work during the week when needed.
Compensation: $30 – $45 per hour (based on experience)
About the Opportunity
We are a well-established industrial maintenence company in Toronto seeking a skilled and reliable Millwright to join our maintenance team. In our fast-paced, high-hygiene production environment, you will play a critical role in installing, disassembling, and maintaining various packaging, processing, and conveying equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food processing and packaging machinery
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production lines to minimize unplanned downtime
- Work on equipment including conveyors, pumps, mixers, fillers, sealers, palletizers, and automated systems
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems
- Perform precision alignment of motors, gearboxes, and pumps
- Weld and fabricate minor parts and modifications as needed (not a requirement but highly valued)
- Strictly follow all food safety protocols, GMPs, and sanitation requirements
- Comply with all health & safety policies, including proper Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario Millwright Certificate (433A) – Red Seal preferred
- Minimum 4 years of Millwright experience, ideally in food manufacturing, beverage, or other high-hygiene industries
- Strong understanding of food-grade equipment and sanitary design principles
- Experience with high-speed packaging lines and automated food processing equipment is a strong asset
- Proficient in reading mechanical schematics and technical documentation
- Welding and fabrication skills (especially stainless steel) considered an asset
- Ability to work in a wet environment and at heights when required
- Strong commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety
- Valid forklift license and overhead crane experience are assets
