Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 3rd or 4th year Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to providing exceptional service to our clients in a fast-paced independent repair shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor diagnostics on vehicles using specialized equipment and tools.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs and installations.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair options.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic in repair shop setting is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Familiarity with automotive repair techniques and the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand schematics related to automotive systems.
