Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automatic Door Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing automatic door systems as well as pedestrian turnstiles and vehicle barriers across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure that doors operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Duties
- Install new automatic door systems and pedestrian/vehicle barriers according to schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing hardware to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to sensors, motors, control panels, and mechanical components using hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose system faults accurately
- Replace or repair components such as belts, rollers, sensors, wiring, and control units as needed
- Perform calibration of sensors and safety features to meet safety standards and operational requirements
- Document all service activities thoroughly in maintenance logs and reports for future reference
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools essential for installation and repair tasks
- Construction experience with a focus on electronics and low voltage energy.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams confidently.
- Familiarity with schematic interpretation related to electrical systems of automatic doors
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $22.68-$40.97 per hour
