Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Roofer/Laborer and Kettle person to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, assisting with various construction tasks, and ensuring the safety and quality of each project. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new skills in the roofing and construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on various structures
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and secure materials
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during every phase of work
- Work safely with hot asphalt applications
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, or carpentry is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Experience with caulking or handyman work is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is an asset
- Prior roofing or laborer experience is required and some training will be provided for motivated candidates
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$47.00 per hour
