Star Motors of Ottawa is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Full Time Junior Parts Advisor to join our growing Parts & Service Department. The successful candidate will assist customers and technicians by accurately identifying, sourcing, and supplying automotive parts while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist customers and service technicians in identifying the correct parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize electronic parts catalogs and dealership software to source parts.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments.
- Assist with inventory control, stock organization, and proper stock rotation.
- Pick, package, and distribute parts for service repair orders.
- Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure parts are available for scheduled repairs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department.
- Assist with merchandising and stocking showroom displays.
- Handle customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and by email.
- Follow all dealership policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Automotive parts experience is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of automotive vehicles and mechanical components is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn dealership software.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.
