I&B IBS Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team. Successful applicants will possess a positive attitude, good communication skills and a high level of initiative.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES will include but may not be limited to, the following:
- Sweeping/Mopping Floors
- Vacuuming
- Disinfecting Surfaces
- Emptying/Removing Garbages
- Operating Floor Scrubber Machines
More specifically…
- Reception/Waiting area/Main Entrance – general upkeep
- Kitchens – general upkeep, emptying dishwashers
- Clean washrooms and replenish supplies 2-3 times per day dependent on times centre is open
- Clean kitchens including wiping surfaces, sinks and dry/wet mopping any spills on floors
- Transport equipment from behind reception to facility location
- Vacuuming/mopping front entry 2-3 times per day or as required
- Disinfecting meeting room tables
- Assist in heavy set ups of rooms/desks
- Receive incoming goods, returns etc. from shipping/receiving dock when delivery driver calls
- Delivery of packages to ordering departments
- Reporting to shipping/receiving dock to meet shippers and hand over packages to be shipped
- Tracking ordering department through Meditech if necessary
- Meeting room setup/takedown
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & PROFICIENCY:
- Secondary School Diploma.
- Basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
- Strong independence, ability to work alone and in a team setting.
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written, to work effectively with Board personnel and outside agencies.
- Successful completion of I&B IBS Inc. Health & Safety Training Course (upon hire).
- Ability to meet physical requirements of the position with regard to lifting buckets, and furniture handling, etc.
- Physically fit and able to bend, walk, stand, push, pull, twist, climb stairs, and to lift on average 50 lbs.
Available Position(s):
- AM Porter/Housekeeper (part-time) - 8:30am - 1pm (In addition to every third Saturday of the month from 4pm - 7pm)
JOB INFORMATION:
Wage: $20/hr
Hours: 8:30am - 1pm Monday to Friday (In addition to every third Saturday of the month from 4pm - 7pm).
Location: Building is located in near Dundas St. W. and Third Line in Oakville.
