We are a growing construction and landscaping company looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, tracking company expenses, processing payments, and ensuring suppliers and subcontractors are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Record and track daily company expenses
- Process supplier and subcontractor invoices
- Schedule and issue payments to vendors and subcontractors
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Monitor accounts payable and payment schedules
- Assist with project cost tracking and reporting
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoices and payment inquiries
- Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Support general administrative and accounting functions as required
Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping or accounts payable experience
- Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
