Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our restaurant team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, taking orders, handling payments, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Assist in food preparation and ensure proper food handling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and resolving issues promptly
- Support kitchen staff with basic kitchen prep work and cleaning.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Kitchen experience or food industry knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
