Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Automotive Detailer to join our team at Canadian Tire in Cochrane, Alberta. This is a temporary position covering a staff leave, expected to last approximately 2-3 months with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities-
Professional Detailing & Restoration
- Quality Restoration: Detail vehicles with a focus on quality and meticulous attention to detail.
- Protection Packages: Apply professional-grade protection products to both interior and exterior surfaces to preserve vehicle value.
- Paint Care: Utilize Power Polishing proficiency to remove imperfections and restore high-gloss paint finishes.
- Interior Expertise: Deep clean and apply specialized protectants to various interior materials (leather, fabric, plastics), understanding how different surfaces react to cleaning agents.
- Specialized Services: Perform Windshield Chip Repairs and, where applicable, assist with Paint Protection Film (PPF) application.
Facility & Customer Operations
- Shuttle Service: Safely operate the Customer Shuttle, providing professional and friendly transportation for our clients.
- Operational Standards: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency within the detailing facility.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the service team regarding vehicle conditions, progress, and completed services to manage customer expectations.
Safety & Efficiency
- Time Management: Efficiently manage your daily schedule to ensure all assigned vehicles are completed promptly without sacrificing quality.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols, especially when handling industrial cleaning chemicals, power tools, and high-pressure equipment.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Technical Skill: Proven experience in Power Polishing and a deep knowledge of detailing tools, polishes, waxes, and cleaning agents.
- Specialized Assets: Ability to apply Paint Protection Film (PPF) is considered a strong asset.
- Attention to Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset with the ability to meticulously clean and polish vehicles with precision.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting for the duration of a shift.
- Licensing: A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license is strictly required (for shuttle and vehicle maneuvering).
- Reliability: The commitment to fulfill a 2-3-month temporary contract with a high level of initiative.
Schedule & Availability
- Temporary Position, 30 - 40 hours a week (Approx. 2-3 months with potential for extension).
- Flexible availability required, including evenings and weekends.
