Our client, a manufacturing company located near Montreal, QC is looking for a Quality Control Technician (Evenings) to join their team
What you will do in this role:
- Under the responsibility of the QC supervisor, the QC Technician is responsible for the control of raw materials and packaging materials, analyzing of semi -finished and finished products. The technician has the responsibility to report any abnormalities detected.
- Evaluate the finished products assembled by co-manufacturing on the sensory and the physio-chemical levels and ensure that they meet specifications
- Prepare samples and document all requests for microbiological analyses at external laboratories
What you will bring to the role:
- Must have a bachelor’s in science and Technology of Food / Food Science / Microbiology or a DEC on a related field (ITA, Diet, etc.)
- Have 2– 3 years of experience in the food industry and similar functions
- Good knowledge of HACCP and GMP
- Familiarity of quality management systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
