Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in plumbing and related trades, providing a valuable foundation for a career in construction, maintenance, and building systems. The Plumbing Apprentice will work under the supervision of experienced plumbers to develop essential skills, learn industry standards, and contribute to various plumbing projects. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial, and industrial settings
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to plumbing projects
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively under supervision
- Perform basic measurements and calculations using math skills to ensure precise installations
- Support the assembly of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing components
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites to ensure compliance with regulations
- Participate in training sessions to develop knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, schematics reading, and maintenance practices
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in construction trades preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings is advantageous
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Interest in learning plumbing systems, maintenance techniques, and related trades such as HVAC or carpentry
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully
- Willingness to work outdoors or in confined spaces as needed
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
