Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Store Manager/Budtender to lead our retail team in providing exceptional service and expert product knowledge. This role involves managing daily store operations, assisting customers with their selections, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, multilingual abilities, and a solid background in Cannabis retail sales and customer service. Experience with POS systems, computer operation, and merchandising is highly valued. Duties
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Assist customers with product selection, providing detailed information on products and usage
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions accurately and efficiently
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Lead and motivate staff, fostering a positive team environment with strong leadership skills
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers and promote products effectively
- Handle inventory management, including stock replenishment and filing records
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including proper handling of heavy lifting tasks when necessary
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools such as Excel for reporting and organizational tasks
- Engage in effective communication with customers and team members in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are a plus
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Requirements
- 2 years experience in Cannabis retail sales, hospitality, or related customer service roles
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities (including French) are advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and computer operation skills
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for cash handling purposes
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and filing tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Bilingual proficiency (English/French) preferred but not mandatory
