This is an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Plumber to join a growing team working on large-scale infrastructure projects, gaining exposure to specialized systems, advanced installations, and long-term career development opportunities within a supportive environment.
As a 4th Year Plumber, you will support the successful installation, maintenance, and commissioning of piping systems and mechanical infrastructure on municipal and industrial construction projects while working under the guidance of a Journeyperson Plumber.
Process Piping & Mechanical Installation
- Assist in installing and maintaining piping systems used in water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Complete pipe fitting activities such as layout, cutting, threading, grooving, and assembly to ensure accurate and efficient installations under direction of a Journeyperson.
- Assist in the installation of pumps, valves, tanks, and mechanical equipment while ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Project Execution & Technical Support
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work plans to support efficient project delivery and accurate installations.
- Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning tasks to ensure systems are operating safely and effectively.
- Help troubleshoot installation challenges on-site and collaborate with project teams to maintain schedules and productivity.
Safety & Site Operations
- Follow all company safety procedures, site-specific requirements, and industry best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure a clean work area to support operational efficiency and quality.
- Travel and work on remote job sites as required.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with project managers, supervisors and Journeyperson Plumbers to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Open to mentorship and constructive feedback from Journeyperson Plumbers, with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Must be registered as a 4th year Plumbing Apprentice in Alberta.
- Safety tickets CSTS is required.
- Experience working in industrial, process mechanical, municipal, or water/wastewater construction environments is considered an asset.
- Ability to work out of town on a 5&2 and 10&4 rotational schedule.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Safety certifications such as a First Aid Certification and Confined Space Training are considered assets.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, plumbing installations, and mechanical equipment appropriate to a fourth-year apprenticeship level.
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications is considered an asset.
- Ability to perform plumbing and mechanical installation tasks safely and effectively under the guidance of a Journeyperson.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a willingness to support apprentices and collaborate across crews.
