Responsibilities
- Install, repair, or replace asphalt shingles and other roofing materials
- Prepare roofs for shingling, including tearing off old materials
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and setting up job sites
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times
- Work at heights and on ladders/scaffolding
- Support skilled tradespeople and follow instructions from supervisors
- Assist with minor repairs and general labour tasks as needed
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete various construction tasks
- Apply caulking and sealants as needed for weatherproofing and insulation
- Assist in heavy lifting of materials and equipment during projects
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Previous roofing or construction experience preferred (shingling experience is a strong asset)
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Basic knowledge of roofing tools and equipment
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in a team and follow directions
- Experience with caulking techniques is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting

- Keswick, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
