Job Overview:
Cambridge International Academy is seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary Teachers to join our diverse teaching team. This role involves instructing elementary students and providing a supportive and enriching environment that promotes their academic and social development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in elementary education, a love for teaching, and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students in grades 3 to 8, in line with Ontario curriculum standards.
- Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their personal best.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ performance, attendance, and social development.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, contribute to the planning of school-wide activities, and engage in professional development opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress and well-being.
- Implement classroom management strategies that maintain good order and discipline, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
- Provide extra support to students as needed, including outside of scheduled class times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, with a focus on Elementary Education.
- Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification preferred.
- Proven experience teaching elementary-level students, preferably in grades 3 to 8.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
