Job Summary
Loonie Cleaning Services is seeking a skilled and innovative Software Developer to design, develop, maintain, and improve our company website and mobile application platform. The ideal candidate will help build digital solutions that improve customer experience, streamline cleaning service bookings, enhance business operations, and support the growth of our cleaning service platform.
This role involves developing and maintaining a modern website, mobile application, customer booking system, service management features, payment integrations, and internal tools to support residential and commercial cleaning operations across Metro Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the Loonie Cleaning Services website and mobile application.
- Build user-friendly customer interfaces for online booking, service selection, scheduling, and account management.
- Develop mobile applications for customers and cleaning staff using modern mobile development frameworks.
- Create and maintain backend systems, databases, and APIs to support website and app functionality.
- Implement features such as:
- Online cleaning service booking
- Customer registration and profiles
- Appointment scheduling
- Cleaner assignment and management
- Payment processing integration
- Notifications and reminders
- Customer reviews and feedback systems
- Subscription and recurring cleaning plans
- Design and develop responsive web pages optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, maps, email/SMS notifications, and analytics tools.
- Maintain website performance, security, SEO functionality, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and continuously improve application performance.
- Manage database structures and ensure secure handling of customer information.
- Collaborate with management to identify technology solutions that improve business efficiency.
- Perform software testing, debugging, documentation, and regular updates.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for future development.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in website and mobile application development.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
- Experience with backend development and API integration.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, PHP, or similar languages.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience developing mobile applications using technologies such as React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin is an asset.
- Experience with cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and secure application development.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub version control systems.
- Knowledge of website optimization, security practices, and SEO-friendly development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Experience
- Experience developing service-based business platforms.
- Experience creating booking, scheduling, marketplace, or on-demand service applications.
- Experience integrating payment systems such as Stripe or similar platforms.
- Experience with WordPress, Elementor, WooCommerce, or custom CMS development.
- Experience building customer dashboards and administrative management systems.
