We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our client's team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, construction, and horticulture, supporting the creation and upkeep of beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a passion for gardening and outdoor work, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery such as riding and walking lawn mowers, trimmers, excavators and power tools to support construction and landscaping tasks.
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting, grading, and soil preparation.
- Conduct gardening activities such as planting, pruning, mulching, and watering.
- Maintain landscape features through regular upkeep and seasonal adjustments.
- Support construction projects by assisting with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations and maintain a clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with landscaping, horticulture, or gardening is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating machinery like riding lawn mowers, excavators and power tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of irrigation systems, horticulture and landscape maintenance techniques an asset.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to outdoor projects is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills and responsibilities.
- Valid G Class Driver License and reliable transportation required.
