We are seeking a dedicated Skid Steer Operator to join our team at our tire crumbing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a skid steer and other machinery essential to the production process. Your work will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate skid steer and/or CAT 908 loader machinery and other equipment related to the tire shredding process, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on skid steer and other shredding equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Respond promptly to operational challenges, prioritizing actions to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Regularly inspect products and machinery to identify and rectify potential issues, minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with the shredding team and other operators to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Accurately record production data and maintenance activities using a computerized system to track progress and issues.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery for optimal performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
Required Skills:
- Diploma, Skilled worker is preferred
- Effective communication skills to interact positively with team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team to meet production targets.
- Basic understanding of skid steer operation and maintenance.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or changes in production processes.
- Basic technical skills to perform minor repairs and adjustments on machinery.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a production environment.
- Capacity to follow detailed instructions and procedures accurately.
